Mastering the Complexities of Assessment in developing a Rich and Meaningful Formulation and Treatment Plan in Relationship Therapy

10:30 AM - 12:45 PM

Abstract

Most couples, when asked what brings them to couple therapy, will simply say, ‘Communication difficulties’. While this is often a symptom of relationship breakdown, it is rarely the cause. One of the unique aspects of Gottman Method Couple Therapy is its focus on undertaking a thorough assessment of both the relationship dynamics and each individual in the relationship.
In this two-hour workshop, Trish and John will assist participants through a case study with video observation to assess, formulate, and develop a treatment plan for a real-world example of a complex couple presentation. They will also discuss applications with truples, quads, and other styles of relationship.
