ACT can be used effectively with children and adolescents for a wide range of issues. This highly practical and engaging workshop will introduce you to the ACT Kidflex, using simple, easy to understand, and developmentally appropriate language. You will learn quick and engaging exercises for use with children and adolescents. You will also learn how to provide recommendations to parents/caregivers and teachers.

Tamar Black, Ph.D., is an educational and developmental psychologist with more than 20 years’ experience working as a school psychologist and 24 years’ experience in private practice. She is the author of the best-seller ACT FOR TREATING CHILDREN (New Harbinger Publications, 2022) which has been translated into 12 languages, and THE ACT WORKBOOK FOR KIDS (New Harbinger Publications, 2024). Tamar is an approved supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia, and the Australian Psychological Society’s College of Educational and Developmental Psychologists. She is an ACT trainer, and provides training and supervision to professionals working with children and adolescents around the world. Tamar has extensive experience providing supervision to psychologists and provisional psychologists.
