Organisational Psychologists as Company Directors – insights and learnings from the boardroom

10:30 AM - 11:30 AM

Abstract

This panel discussion dives into the potential for organisational psychologists to become company directors, with a group of experienced organisational psychologist directors. We explore the unique mind set and skill set psychologists bring to the table, from understanding human behaviours within systems, and fostering positive cultures to navigating complex group dynamics and strategic decision-making.

Join us as we discuss the challenges and opportunities psychologists face in the boardroom, and uncover insights on:
• The director's perspective: What qualities and experiences do boards seek in potential directors?
• Bridging the gap: How can psychologists translate their expertise into boardroom success?
• Finding a seat at the table: Strategies for psychologists to increase their visibility and influence within organizations.
