She is passionate about helping early career professionals find their niche within the field. Her dedication to fostering connections is reflected in her work and her commitment to supporting the next generation of psychologists and uphold the Psychology Profession in her community.

Biography

Jack Hudson-Williams, BSc (Hons), MPsych, is a Sport & Performance Psychologist. He adopts a whole-of-person, whole-of-system approach to his practice, integrating mental health, wellbeing, and mental skill interventions to help his clients function well and strive for consistent peak performance over an extended period of time. Context matters, Jack individualises psychological interventions to suit specific client needs at the individual, group, and organisation level. Jack has worked with Cricket Australia, the Professional Footballers Association, and individuals in different performance contexts, including; professional soccer, cricket, track and field, performing arts, boxing, medicine, and tactical response services. He recognises the importance of coach education, ensuring he works closely with coaches to psychologically inform environments. Jack is currently the Lead Sport Psychologist and Head of Team and Player Development for WA Cricket, having previously been the Lead Sport Psychologist for Cricket Tasmania and the Tasmanian Institute of Sport. Jack works with individual clients competing in golf, track and field, and hockey. He is member of the Australian Psychological Society and the Division of Early Career Committee, and Early Career Representative within the College of Sport & Exercise Psychologists. Away from work, Jack enjoys creating and consuming culinary delights with family and friends, playing golf, doing various forms of exercise, and fantasising about one day owning a golden retriever.

Biography

I am a mature aged, sole practitioner, Generalist psychologist, who came to study psychology as a Gay male mature-aged student. This followed on from years (now decades) of volunteer counselling in an LGB phone support setting. Since starting the registration process, I have worked in both 1-1 and group settings, including Domestic Violence and AOD settings, both of those with mandated clients. Nowadays I run my own sole practitioner practice, including providing Telehealth services and Clinical Hypnotherapy.

Biography

I am a registered Psychologist and Clinical Psychosexual Therapist, with an interest in personality disorders, sexual functioning, relationships, forensic matters and gender issues. I was born in Rome and my family moved to Australia when I was 16 years old. I have developed a passion for psychology over a number of years and I have a very varied career history, spanning from flight attending to hospitality. I have always found that my colourful career has helped me to relate better to my patients in one way or another. In the last couple of years I have also run a number of group based therapies and I am amazed at the power of this therapeutic modality. I am also honoured to be part of the APS Perth branch Committee, as the Chair, as I am a believer in change and improvement, both at an individual and systemic level.
